TERMS & CONDITIONS

RESERVATION & CONFIRMATION
  • Bookings made through our website are in “Waiting” status until registration and liability forms are completed for all guests. Once reviewed, your status updates to “Reserved” and you will receive a new invoice by email.
  • A 30% deposit for activities plus 100% payment for Komodo National Park tickets is required to secure your booking.
  • A higher deposit amount may be needed to secure 3rd Party Items/Services including accommodation, transport and Nitrox rental.
  • Payment Options
  • Final Payment:
    • Day Trips & Courses: The balance is due at our office by the day before the trip. Full payment is required immediately if the booking is made the day before the trip.
    • Liveaboards & Day Boat Charters: The balance is due 14 days before departure. Full payment is required immediately if the booking is made less than 14 days before the trip.
    • Agent bookings: An agreement on payment amount and deadlines will be mutually agreed in writing. If nothing has been agreed, then our regular booking terms apply.

MEDICAL FITNESS
  • Course students must complete a medical form which is attached to their registration form. “YES” to certain conditions means a specific doctor’s clearance form (provided by us) must be signed before the course is confirmed. Guests that are not doing courses must sign a liability release confirming they are fit to participate.

PAYMENTS
  • All prices are quoted in IDR.
  • Use the invoice booking ID as the payment reference.
  • Send us the transfer details.
  • Guests are responsible for all transaction fees; only the NET amount received will be credited.
  • Foreign currency via bank transfer is converted using www.xe.com rates. Cash USD/EUR are accepted in-office at local exchange rates.
  • We regret that we cannot accept online card payments. In-office payments using Visa / Mastercard / Amex incur a 2% surcharge.

KOMODO NATIONAL PARK TICKETS
  • As of 1st April 2026, KNP has a limit of 1,000 visitors per day.
  • We cannot purchase your tickets until registration forms are complete and ticket fees are paid. We urge early confirmation to avoid missing out.
  • Tickets are issued in the guest’s name, are non-transferable, and currently non-refundable by the National Park authorities.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

Cancellations by Dive Komodo

Cancellations by the company are unlikely, however we reserve the right to cancel for safety or operational reasons. We will offer alternatives (different boat / dates) or a refund of the trip. We are not liable for external costs including, but not limited to, flights or hotels. We highly recommend you have comprehensive travel insurance.

Cancellations by Guest

The deposit amount is not refundable if the trip is cancelled by the guest. If guests have paid more than the deposit amount, we can offer part-refund depending on how much cancellation notice we received before the scheduled departure time;

  • Day Trips & Courses:
    • 20+ hours: 30% of amount forfeited
    • 19 hours or less: 100% of amount forfeited
  • Liveaboard:
    • 3 day cooling-off period for deposits (unless booking was made less than 14 days before departure).
    • 7+ days: 30% of amount forfeited
    • 4-6 days: 70% of amount forfeited
    • 3 days or less: 100% of amount forfeited
  • Charter:
    • 3 day cooling-off period for deposits (unless booking was made less than 14 days before departure).
    • 14+ days: 30% of amount forfeited
    • 13-8 days: 70% of amount forfeited
    • 7 days or less: 100% of amount forfeited
  • 3rd Party Items / Services:
    • Follows the specific provider’s T&Cs.

No Show & Late Arrivals

If the guests are not at the allocated meeting point on time, then we will wait at least 20min more before departing. If we manage to contact the guests during this time, then we may be able to agree to wait longer depending on how long the wait would be, our program of the day and considerations to the other guests that are booked on the same trip. If guests miss a liveaboard departure, we can arrange a speedboat transfer out to the liveaboard with the incurred cost covered by the guest.

If a guest misses the trip; 100% of the trip amount is forfeited.

Program Changes

Specific dive sites are never guaranteed. Our team may alter itineraries based on weather, safety, or low participation (which may involve merging with a partner boat). No compensation is offered if a guest cannot complete activities due to personal reasons (e.g., illness).

Management Discretion

In certain cases we may use our discretion to loosen our refund regulations in your favour, this will primarily depend on the effect your booking and cancellation had on our other bookings, costs incurred to us and if we managed to fill your spots with other guests.
