Training is conducted progressively, allowing you to build confidence before moving into the open ocean.
By the end of the course, you'll have completed four certification dives and earned your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
There are few places in the world where your very first certification dives can be surrounded by pristine coral reefs, vibrant marine life, and crystal-clear tropical waters.
Komodo National Park is famous for its incredible biodiversity, home to turtles, reef sharks, manta rays, and thousands of species of fish. While some areas of the park are known for stronger currents, our instructors carefully select beginner-friendly sites that provide calm and comfortable conditions for training.
Learning here means that from your very first dives, you're not simply practicing skills, you're experiencing one of the world's premier diving destinations.

Once you've completed the course, you'll become a certified PADI Open Water Diver, qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres with a certified buddy.
Your certification is recognised worldwide, opening the door to thousands of dive destinations across the globe. Whether you dream of exploring shipwrecks, swimming alongside manta rays, or discovering vibrant coral reefs, your underwater journey starts here.
Many divers continue their education immediately after completing Open Water.
The natural progression is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course, where you'll expand your skills through five Adventure Dives, including Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. In Komodo, many students also choose to experience Drift Diving, one of the region's signature underwater adventures.
The more you dive, the more confident and capable you become, and there is no better classroom than Komodo National Park.
