Want To Dive But No Certification?
Now is your opportunity to come and see some of the best diving on the planet and immerse yourself into a world bursting with color and life. In this short introduction to diving you will learn basic dive theory, equipment use and practice some skills needed to complete the dive. The rest of the time is spent diving with an instructor dedicated to keeping you safe and having fun!

Instructor to student ratio: 1:2
You must be medically fit to dive which can be assessed by an easy form that is available in the office or online.
Note: This is not a course and doesn’t result in a certification. Materials and dive computer are not available or required for this program.
If you are at least 10 years old, comfortable in the water, and in good general health, you're ready to discover scuba diving with us.
Your adventure begins with a relaxed introduction to scuba diving. Your instructor will explain how the equipment works, teach you the essential safety principles, and guide you through a few simple underwater skills.
Once you're comfortable, it's time to explore.
Unlike many destinations, Komodo is famous for its rich marine biodiversity, vibrant coral gardens, turtles, reef sharks, and countless tropical fish. Throughout the day, your instructor stays by your side, ensuring you feel safe, confident, and able to fully enjoy every moment underwater.
You'll complete two guided dives, with a maximum depth of 12 metres, giving you plenty of time to experience the magic of breathing underwater for the very first time.
Komodo National Park is renowned for world-class diving, but it's also known for strong currents at some of its more advanced sites.
For Discover Scuba Diving participants, we carefully select sheltered locations with calmer conditions, typically around the Central Komodo area. Chances to see Manta Rays, Turtles, big fishes and even Sharks or Dugongs. These protected reefs provide the perfect environment to learn, build confidence, and enjoy your first underwater adventure.
Our experienced team evaluates tides, weather, and sea conditions every day to choose the safest and most enjoyable sites for beginners.
Because every day in Komodo is different, dive locations may vary, but your comfort and safety always come first.

Meet the Dive Komodo team and complete your registration.
7:00AM: Boat Departure
After fitting your equipment, your instructor will conduct a full dive briefing while the boat cruises towards the dive sites.
The briefing includes introduction to your scuba gears, skills that you are going to practice, and what can you expect from the course.
First Dive
Practice a few basic scuba skills before embarking on your first underwater exploration.
Skills include: Underwater regulator clearing & recovery, Mask clearing, Equalization, Neutral buoyancy, Finning techniques, Emergency air sharing (as recipient)
Surface Interval
Relax onboard while enjoying a freshly prepared lunch, coffee, tea, and snacks as you cruise between dive sites.
Second Dive
Put your new skills into practice and discover even more of Komodo's incredible underwater world.
Lunch
Enjoy full course meal deliciously cooked by our chef.
Third Dive (Optional)
You can dive again at a different site for an additional Rp500,000 per person. This dive is not mandatory but if you just discovered that you love scuba diving so much, don't miss out on the third dive!
4:30PM: Return to Labuan Bajo
Head back in the afternoon with unforgettable memories and, quite possibly, a new passion for diving.
