Spend three days and two nights living aboard our boat, the Tatawa, as we explore and dive the best sites around Komodo National Park. During your time on the boat, you can expect to dive, eat, sleep, and repeat!
Our itinerary includes nine different sites in the Central and North Komodo regions, including Tatawa, Batu Bolong, Manta Point, Castle Rock, and Crystal Rock. The selection of sites will depend on the current conditions, tides, and your level of diving experience.
This program is only used as a guideline. Dive guides will have some adjustments on location based on certain conditions like current, tides, visibility conditions at the exact hour of activity. Our guides will decide timing, location, and routes of the trip.
We will commence our trip on the first day from our office at 8:30 AM.
Once everyone is ready at 9 AM, we will walk approximately 5 minutes to the harbor located just behind our office.
Our first stop will be Sebayur Kecil for a check dive, where we will assess your equipment and skill level.
Next, we will head to Tatawa Besar for your first drift dive of the trip.
The last dive of the day can be done at Siaba Besar or in North Komodo, where you will also do a night dive and stay overnight.
After dinner and some chit chat, you can get some rest.
On the second day of our trip, we’ll begin with a morning dive at the Cauldron, located in North Komodo. This exciting channel dive between Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut is best experienced at falling tide. You’ll start with a slow drift from the west side, pass through the channel, and then end with a ripping current. It’s an exciting site to explore!
After the first dive, you’ll be treated to breakfast while the boat slowly moves to the northern side of the island. The next dive sites on our itinerary are Castle and Crystal Rock.
Lunch will be served after the third dive, followed by a move to the central area where we will search for the night dive sites. Siaba Besar is a popular option, but if you love macros, Wae Nilu is the perfect choice.
After the last dive, we’ll anchor the boat in a safe place for your second night. You can then enjoy dinner, chat with your fellow divers, and retire to bed for some well-deserved sleep.
You have reached the final day of your trip, and you have two more dives to go!
On your last day, you can choose to dive at either Batu Bolong or Manta Point, two very popular dive sites.
Batu Bolong is a small rocky island located in a channel between Komodo Island and Tatawa or Siaba. This dive site is known for its strong currents, but despite this, it is a unique site with an abundance of Komodo’s fish species sheltering behind the rock formation which offers protection.
For your next dive, or your last dive of the trip, you will visit Manta Point, which is named after the manta rays that inhabit the area. Depending on the current direction, you will drift for about two kilometers in search of mantas. If you’re lucky, you may see multiple mantas during just one dive, along with other marine life such as sharks, turtles, fusiliers, and giant trevallies.
After the dives, you will have lunch and then head down to Rinca Island (or Komodo Island) to witness the famous Komodo dragon. The trek to see these creatures usually takes around two hours.
Once back on the boat, we will head back to the port in Labuan Bajo where the trip began, and our adventure comes to an end. Sayonara!
Covering 9 dives total, you will pretty much get the most popular sites around central and north of Komodo.
Perfect choice with a trek in famous Padar island included in the program. Also, total of 13 dives plus dragon tour.
Not only diving, this trip offer a special experience on some of the best trekking in Komodo. We will also include visiting the famous pink beach
