What to Expect on a Day Trip with Dive Komodo
Generally, a one-day diving trip with a dive komodo would typically include the following:
- Meet at the office the day prior to complete the paperwork, payments and trying on the dive gear. Meeting at the dive center at about 7.15am. We will move to the boat at 7.30.
- A brief orientation and safety briefing from the dive instructor and breakfast drinks and snacks will be served.
- Traveling to the dive site by boat, which can take anywhere from a one to two hours depending on the location
- Once at the dive site, the instructor will give a briefing with a map of the dive site, a dive plan, about the specific conditions and what to expect underwater
- Divers will then enter the water and begin their dive, accompanied by a dive guide. You will explore the underwater world, observing the marine life and the coral reefs. Dives are usually 50 to 60 minutes long with a depth range of 14 to 25 meters
- After the dive, the divers will return to the boat and have time to relax and discuss the dive with the instructor.
- After the surface interval, they will proceed for the second, have lunch and then the third dive.
- After the last dive, we will cruise back to Labuan Bajo and disembark at about 5pm.
It’s worth noting that depending on Dive Komodo’s specific itinerary, some of the steps may vary. We reserve the right to change planned dives site for safety reasons.
